 Sherrie Blumenthal of Lewiston releases a Monarch butterfly outside the Lewiston, city building on Friday. The butterfly cared for by the staff of the Lewiston Public Library butterfly hatched on Friday morning. Blumenthal and Denise Dill of Lewiston who made a trip to  Michoacan, Mexico the final destination of the Monarchs after their 2000 mile journey will talk about their trip after a special showing of the film The Incredible Journey of the Butterflies A 2009 PBS NOVA documentary on Wednesday , September 9, 6:30 pm at the Lewiston Public Library. Film showing is free of charge.

The youngsters were visiting their grandmother who is the school nurse at the school. This is a great playground the children love, it's a great place for them to burn off some energy, said their mother Crystal Rainville.

The kindergarten classes of teachers Sue LaRue and Dee Dee Stearns paraded the spring fashion headwear created by students and parents before  family , friends and student body a tradition started by Stearns 17 years ago.

Samson was part of group of youngster participating in the St Doms beginner golf camp. Camp golf instructor Richard Paradis a 2009 St Doms graduated  said campers are learning more than just golf , they learn about life hard work, patience and above all honesty and integrity.
