Oak Hill goalie Isaiah Mills and Peter Doubleday of Camden Hills get to the ball at the same time during a game  at Oak Hill.  Doubleday knocked the ball away and booted it into the empty net for the second goal of the game.  Camden Hills went on to a 6-0 victory.

Three of the dozens of schooners file past the nearly mile-long granite breakwater that protects Rockland Harbor and lighthouse during the annual Parade of Sail featuring dozens of schooners and hundreds of other boats that dazzled the thousands of spectators that came out to view the spectacular sight. At far left is the J & E Riggin, Lewis R. French and the Victory Chimes.

A barred owl is undaunted by one of several crows that continuously harrassed it.  Despite the continued taunting, the nocturnal creature continued to doze and dazzled the staff and visitors to the Sisters of Charity Food Pantry in the old Wallace Building on Bates Street in Lewiston as it was perched in a tree behind the parking lot.

Oxford Hills' Eli Dolloff leaps over Edward Little's Gage Clavet to catch a touchdown pass in the endzone with no time remaining on the clock during Saturday afternoon's game.  The score tied the game, but the conversion failed, sending the game into overtime where it took six overtime periods before the Edward Little won.

Wildlife Rehabilitator Sherri Gee releases this adult male bald eagle back into the wild Saturday afternoon in a field near where it was accidentally trapped on Tuesday in Leeds, Maine.  A neighbor to the field spotted the eagle in distress and called a game warden.  After it was freed from the trap, it was taken to Avian Haven in Freedom, Maine where it was checked over and given a clean bill of health.  In the background is Charlie Todd from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife who transported the bird from Avian Haven.

After being couped up all winter long, Ronald Coleman brought his pet Red Tail Boa,  Caesar out to enjoy the sun, turning a few heads as he made his way around the streets of Lewiston.  This motorist  heading down Oak Street pulled over to see if it was really real.

Leavitt running back Josh Strickland hurdles Hampden Academy's Nolan Turner as looks to take off into open field during first half action Friday night in Turner.  To the surprise of just about everyone on the field and in the stands, Strickland was given a penalty for hurdling and the Hornets were stung with a loss of yards instead of a first down.
